We live in an age of speed. Remember dial-up modems? Those over-sized iPods called "Walkman Personal Stereos?" Tape cassettes you had to wind with a pencil if they got tangled? Technology is constantly leap-frogging whatever already exists to bring us newer, better and faster gadgets.

Next in the line of fire? The good old computer. Sorry pal; quantum computing is just around the corner.
